UNDER HIS WINGS — Psalm 91:4
This painting is my prayer on canvas.
As a mother, there are some things I simply cannot control. My daughter serves in the U.S. Air Force, and there are moments when the distance between us makes that reality especially hard.
I can worry. I can wonder. Or I can remind myself of something God continues to teach me:
She was His before she was ever mine.
“He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge.” — Psalm 91:4
Under His Wings came from a mother’s prayer for God’s protection over her child. I painted her kneeling in front of the F-16, looking toward the light above her—not because I can always be there to protect her, but because He can.
This painting is for my daughter, but it is also for every military family who knows what it feels like to love someone from a distance, to be incredibly proud of them, and still carry that quiet worry in your heart.
Sometimes faith means realizing that the people we love most were never ours to protect alone.
They are under His wings.
